Finally added the rest of the rock to the tank, courtesy of Billy's reef connection. Quality rock as always.

Nice haul from the CMAS frag swap.

Got the torch from Cherry Corals!! They had a great selection with great prices! They were the best vender at the swap IMO. I'm very pleased.

Since my last update I've had some ups and downs, mostly ups though. The only real issue I’ve ran into is that I lost just about all my acans and monti’s in what took about 3 weeks for them to all melt away.

I jus couldn’t figure it out for the life of me so I sent a sample of to Triton. The results came back pretty much perfect accept for trace elements which were at just about zero. This is odd since I was doing biweekly water changes as well as dosing Red Sea coral colors.

I picked up some fuel by aquavitro which I used in the past when my tank was doing the best it ever had not sure why I even quit using it TBH. After I started dosing fuel again I noticed my corals looking better the following day. It was quite amazing. After a month of not understanding why some corals looked great while others parished I was finally on the road to recovery, though I was skeptical. Weeks and then months later my coral are thriving. So well in fact when I frag my digi’s, they have polyps protruding from the cuts less than 24 hours later.

It’s unfortunate that something as simple as trace had such an impact on my system and there I was chasing down nonsense for weeks. Which I had sent a test in to Triton sooner.

Something else I’d like to point out is that I use Hanna checkers and have had them for about 2 years now. My Triton results indicate that my Hanna checkers are on point and I highly recommend them.

*UPDATE*
!!Hejjo’s reef 150 basement build!!

Moved the tank to the basement and now I finally have a tank room!! It will be an inwall tank facing what will be my man cave. I still have much to do for example; hard plumb, hang the lights properly, cable management, add a frag tank, as well as many other things.

The basement is not finished yet so plans can still change but the tank is staying put.

The tank move went smooth with no losses.
The bag method is the easiest and safest IMO. you’ll see what I mean in the pics.

The stand is glued and screwed 2x6.

I put all new sand in and used about 100 gallons of new salt water and kept 50 gallons that the fish and corals sat it.

Unfortunately the tank had to be moved before the basement can be finished so I made a temp rack from 2x4 to hold my life support systems.

Not sure what happened but sometime between breaking the tank down and setting it back up my doser quit working. This was my second doser to fail on me in the past few years. Though I didn’t want to shell out cash for a new one I wasn’t about to buy another junk one. Luckily I found this one NEW, locally for 2/3 the price of a new one. . I honestly still can’t believe it.

Setting it up and calibrating was very simple, and even enjoyable compared to dosers I’ve used in the past. Neptune FTW.

Here’s the tank in its current state. I need to get the frag tank going so I can get some corals out of the sand. I just don’t like anything in the sand.
