Hello and Greetings!

Welcome to Reef2Reef, Adam!

You bought a book on reef tanks and came to R2R before purchasing a tank: You are already doing great!

Enjoy the new hobby :)
Great point

Hello and congrats to everyone in the US that survived another Thanks Giving.

My name is Adam, I live in southern MN USA.
I've been thinking about starting a reef tank (focus on invertebrates over fish). I do not yet have a tank, and this will be my first salt water tank. First any tank really since I was a kid (10 gallon freshwater ones). I haven't bought anything yet, only gone over a library book about salt water tanks (George Blasiola). Was up in town at Wet World (Eagan MN) asking a few questions and they said I should come here to petition for knowledge.

Otherwise hello and happy Sunday.

My first order of business here would be to find some general/basic guides on reef tanks

Welcome Adam! What are you looking to do with your tank? Corals? Inverts only? Spill the beans.
corals and inverts. I'm trying to avoid setting my heart on any specific one after I learned about keeping urchins is less than easy, so gonna learn more before I make a plan.

WELCOME, ADAM!!!

We are here to help you along and are excited for you as you step into the reef!

Welcome Adam! You’re already off to a good start looking for knowledge before diving in. Biggest advice is take things slowly. Things take time in the salty world so just be patient and ask questions!
