I have never been part of a discussion group online, so please excuse anything I do incorrectly or don't know how to do....
I bought my tank, used, with fish and corals about 3.5 years ago. 75 gallons. It was lovely. Corals grew like crazy, fish did well, my mating pair of clowns had hatching eggs every 3 to 4 weeks. but there was no more room for more fish or more corals, so I decided to purchase a larger tank! Used again, almost 200 gallons. I cleaned everything really well, moved the existing tank to a different part of the same room, set up the "new" one, and then proceeded to move the rocks and fish and much of the water from the old tank to the new. All was well. Got new fish. Got more corals. All good, And then.... death. Fish died, corals died, what was happening???? I was switching to less water changes, dosing for the right things (alk, nitrates, calcium, etc) Strange things growing in my tank - what is it??? Cyano? Do this... Algae? Do this... No. A disastrous bloom of dinos. Prorocentrum. So I found this forum, hopefully y'all can help me. I really love my tank when its all nice an beautiful, but this has been so very sad. Hairy, red-brown stuff all over the sand, rocks, and glass. Most of the corals are ok, most of the existing fish are still fine. Sponges are no more. Coral banded shrimp is missing, top-hat wearing urchin is missing. But who can see anything through for sea of red-brown feathers anyway? But we will survive!!
Welcome to the forums!

Consider (if you haven't already) starting a post in the reef aquarium discussion forum, and posting current tank parameters and a few pics.

With all those issues in an established tank I start to think something changed with your water supply. RODI filters not working, >1 TDS, things like that. Or some piece of equipment is failing and leaching in to the water.
