Hello from Fredericksburg, Virginia

Hi! My name is Tammy and I joined R2R a few years ago and I lurk from time to time but have never posted here. I saw that Mike and Terry (who are in my reef club) are helping host the nano in 90 competition here and I think I may join in on that. So here I am introducing myself first. :wave: I'm a mom of 3, ages 9 years, 5 years, and 5 months. I stay home with them and home school the oldest 2. I have a 58 gallon that has been set up for a few years and before that I had a 12g nano cube that was set up for a couple years. There are some issues with my tank that I have been trying to resolve, and I have been wanting for quite some time to set up a frag tank as well which I hope to do before too long. So there should be plenty for me to talk about.

Mike and Terry referred me to your page... I just posted a "hello" thread in the Meet & Greet. I live in the 'Burg too! I am brand new to the hobby, and don't have a tank even started yet. I was hoping to find some people with similar interests in the area.

What local sources do you use for supplies, etc.?

Sorry Karen that I didn't notice your post until now! Certainly is good to connect with other local people. We can be in touch. Only place locally is Petco down 3 east and sometimes they actually have nice stuff there sometimes not, but now there is also Rompin Stompin Pets and Aquatics over 3 east about 30 minutes from fredericksburg and so far I have been happy with all livestock that I have gotten from her!

Things have been even more hectic than I expected around here so I waen't able to do the nano in 90 competition, but I have some other plans I hope I actually get time to implement, lol!

Hi Tammy. I used to live in Staford, just north of you (was stationed in Quantico). There are a couple of good places in fairfax. It's a bit of drive up the 95 but it's definitely worth the trip.
