Hello all! My name is Carl and after weeks of constant browsing on this site I finally set up an account. I've been reefing for around 6 years, but have had saltwater aquariums for around 10. I'd say within the last 3-4 years I've really dove in head first to concentrating on corals more than fish. After all the years of LFS browsing and seeing the endless supply of lawnmower blennies, royal grammas, yellow tangs etc I have learned to appreciate the insanely huge amount of coral species and morphs. Not to say the common fish are not pretty, but I have grown to stock my tanks with coral first and then selectively pick my fish.

I currently have two tanks, both by Innovative Marine. I have the 16 gallon and the 40 gallon. The 16 is mainly lps and softies and has been running for around 2 years. The 40 gallon was set up to be an sps system. It is around 6 months old. I will probably set up a tank thread on the 40 since it is still in the process of being stocked. I'm using the AI Hydra LEDs on the 16 and MH/T5 combo on the 40. I love the LEDs but I was never able to get them adjusted to make my sps thrive so I went back to MH/T5 for those and moved most of the sps over.

Here is a pic of my 16 gallon.

I will try to remember to get a pic of my 40 gallon up later today. The MH doesn't turn on until noon and my iPhone camera isn't very good with the blue T5s.

Anyways, this turned into more text than I anticipated! I look forward to becoming an active member of this community!

Im in fishers too! I know of at least one other member of this site that lives in Fishers as well. Welcome to R2R.

There are quite a few nearby that are part of INDMAS. I'm not sure how many are part of any other major forums though so good to know there's at least a few!
