Hello all from rainy England !!

Kept Salt water tanks for 25 years but pretty much fish only.
Last year built a new tank and decided to go Soft Coral reef.

2 sided tank built between two rooms of my house. All DIY.

5ft custom built tank with Sump in a separate cupboard under the stairs of the house (Easy maintenance)

( 60" x 24" x 18" plus 36"x 15" x 15" Sump. )

Livestock

Yellow Tang
Regal Tang
Sailfin Tang
Foxface
2 x Pec Clownfish
Royal Gramma
Dragon (Reindeer) Wrasse. (I know probably a bad buy ;))
Blue Damsel.
Sand sifting Starfish
Conch
Various snails
Various soft corals.
Very small BTA .

All doing very well after a full year.

Thank you for your patience.

Cheers ! . This is a great forum BTW. Been lurking for a bit.

One good thing about a Dragon Wrasse is the sand .. That Sand is 1 year old and never been cleaned !! :D
The bad thing about a Dragon Wrasse is you have to stick everything down !!!:)

He's great really.

For some weird reason, I really want one. I know it would be a pain in the rear end to deal with, but I think they look so cool and will legit let you know how they are feeling day to day.

Forgot to list equipment.

Bubble Magus protein skmmer
2 x Overflows going through 2 x filter socks
DIY sump made from Clearseal tank.
Various Bio media in sump including Old Tufa rock (Had this for years) , 1 x Marine pure block and even ceramic rings. (I like to mix it up seems to work)
Have carbon in the sump in media bags no reactor. I run this to avoid soft coral chemical warfare. :D
Jabao cross flow wavemaker.
Jabeo return pump .. (Will be upgrading this to be honest)

Only additive I use is Iodine for the Soft Corals.

Trick is to buy a small one and don't over feed them. They will eat and eat if you put it in.
They will then grow quite slow.

Don't mix with shrimps of any kind. Mine killed a Blood shrimp twice his size.
He's not attacked any fish even the smaller ones.
He doesn't attack corals as long as the rock is glued down. (I wouldn't trust him with delicate hard corals.)

His fave pastime is digging in the sand and pestering the clean up snails.

Amazing to watch tho.
