Welcome to R2R! You started with a 75g and you're moving on to a 260g in a little over a year?

I'm excited to see where your journey goes; do you plan to plateau at 260 or build an even bigger tank soon enough? :D

260 will hopefully be my final tank lol :)

What are your motives for getting a tank almost 3.5x larger than your original tank? Are some of your motives an Aquaforest system, more fish, an abundance of SPS, something not listed, or all of the above?;)
Keep me updated. I love seeing reefs progress!

Well. The current 150 gal is in my office. And I'm going to be moving to a bigger house soon and there is a perfect spot for a new aquarium. 89 inches by 25 depth and 27 height. With the sump plumbed in basement area below which will become the fish room.

I want to concentrate on creating an SPS only tank with all of the top of the line equipment.

I also want to house some nice tangs that require lots of space

Welcome! Congrats on joining to most fun and addicting forum of the universe, please be patient and refrain from exiting this roller coaster of a hobby. Remember to keep your legs and arms inside the ride at all times! Especially your ground probes and heaters! Lol If you get stuck or in line to get on the ride please be patient! Now in all seriousness, patience is a huge thing in this hobby. Can't wait to see some pics!

Ah, I see. So your intent is to have two tanks, correct? That sounds like a good idea; fish in your house and in your office, it sounds like the fish have you surrounded. :p
