Hi! Been a long time since I had a tank ! Back in 2009 I had a 40g breeder drill d with 20L sump/refuge . Used only live rock for filter and grew cheato in the refuge .
2021 what has changed ? Looks like live rock is still king of the filters ! And refuges are not what they really meant to be ?
fast forward to now, I have a bio cube 32 cycling with dry rock and dry sand .
About 2 weeks into cycle. Light have been off .
I also have a 10 gallon tank I decided to start with to jump start . I bought live rock and sand. I bought the live rock from eBay and live sand in the bag.
The live rock was encrusted with life but was just wrapped in paper so much has died off but, Ihave a question of this is a encrusting coral on this rock or identity this stuff? I never seen it before
