I am about to setup my first salt tank, I live on Humboldt bay & I intend to try to put a tiny piece of the local ocean in my living room. Any advice on using fresh ocean water, invertebrates & live rock from local tide pools would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to R2R!!!

You will love your slice of the ocean!

Live rock is a must. I have read of some using natural seawater as well. Personally I don't have experience with that. Sure someone will be able to help!

Welcome to R2R and thanks for signing up. Please check your local/state/federal ordinances regarding taking live rock/creatures from the ocean. There are certain items that are prohibited based on where you live.
