That's a solid size to start with. A 50.3-gallon AIO gives you enough water volume for better stability while keeping the equipment simple. If you're buying used, I'd check for scratches, leaks, pump condition, and make sure the rear chambers haven't been modified. Take your time with the cycle and stocking patience early on usually leads to a much healthier reef in the long run. Good luck with the build!
