HELP!! Brown Jelly Disease??

Hello! I have just looked at my hammer once the lights have gone off and it’s started to retract as usual at night but I have noticed 2 stands connecting both heads together of what looks like a brownish substance and I’m worried its BJD. What do you guys think? And if it is, what do I do to cure it? Thank you!

Maybe, but this picture doesn't really fit the typical profile.

If the coral now looks worse and covered in brown jelly, then this was probably BJD.

If you did have it, treatment of this tank is needed to protect other torches, hammers and susceptible tank mates.

If the coral is still alive, I am guessing this is something else, but???

The hammer is looking like normal this morning and nothing looks out of place. Maybe I was just looking into it too much when I saw what I did

Hi its the Tissue thats retractin.
Is you po4 too low ore even your Jodine.

Dip them in 1ml betadine and 1L saltwater for 15min and then 30min in a honey bad.
1Tabelspoon honey to 1L.

Mine did that when my jodine was low.

for me its RTN ore STN not BJD

Yeah, I dont believe this is brown jelly opposed to excess zooxanthellae which is often from overfeeding. Other factors often are change in salinity, temperature and salt mixes. Additionally, Elevated phosphate, light and even new light and elevated alkalinity levels will be a higher risk to coral.
