Hey everyone.
Its time to move my watchman goby / pisto shrimp from my rsm 130 to their new palace in the 5252xl. I need to catch them first.

The rock they live under also has my nem on top, and its foot is wedges between two rocks. I'm afraid if I move the entire rock to get the shripm that I will either harm the nems foot or stir up so much crap that the nem has issues.

The new tank is not quite where I want it to be to move the nem first. Its a dry rock start and only a couple of months old, still going through some bacterial blooms.

Any suggestions on capturing the pair?

Get a 1" hose and siphon them out.

I caught my cleaner shrimp with Tupperware. Sat it upright with food in it. When they swam in I just lifted it out straight up taking all the water with me. Put on the lid and drove to lfs where I gave them away for store credit.

Glass, or tall glass container upright with tasty food in it, don't feed for a few days and they go in but the slippery glass sides they slide back down

No. Try what this person did in the YouTube video.

I tried that today. I caught 3 nassarius snails. There was a lot of interest from the peppermint shrimp (which I also want to catch) but no one else has gone in. Its still in there with food. I'll check back later.

Maybe put a net in front of his hole when he's out.

I left the trap overnight. I really thought I would at least get some bristle worms. Nothing.
I refilled it with fresh food and have it back in.
