Help! Chaeto flowing into trigger sump baffle?

See pictures. I'm sure this is an issue.
My first attempt at chaeto and its just getting stuck into teeth of overflow baffle in trigger sump. What can I do here? Should I remove any that is all along the overflow? What can I do to keep it from flowing that way?

Cheato should stay in a somewhat ball. If it's falling apart like that it's dying.

What are your nutrient levels?

I am having the same issue. But I have a Synergy sump. But I even added a flow back into the refuge, to try to make it tumble. But no matter what I do or how thick the cheato is, it eventually gets stuck in the overflow.
