Some important background info: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/clam-fell-down.1112990/

Tl;dr: clam fell off its rock after I moved the tank and it damaged its mantle. I did a freshwater dip to try and help it at the recommendations of people in the clam forum.

My crocea clam is dying. It has a damaged mantle and has been gaping the last two days. It still responds to light, but just barely. The mantle barely expands out and there is clear damage where it landed after the fall that is getting worse. Is there anything left for me to do?

honestly, nothing really you can do at this point but wait it out and see if it improves

Once a clam starts to die, there is no saving it
