Just observed it today on my Dog Face Puffer which I have had for 4 years, anyone knows what it is Thanks

Its bacterial and likely a rash injury. Fish can be treated with Ruby Rally pro in the tank but most effective would be quarantine with added aeration and use of seachem Kanaplex or Maracyn 2. Assure good quality and oxygen provided along with sponge or hang on filter with carbon removed.

Agreed it looks like a bacterial infection (that ring around the lesion).
I would try either kanaplex or Neoplex in a treatment tank if you can.
Weird though that it showed up overnight like that.

Possible Abscess that opened may look like that.
