2 yr old 75g, had the elegance for 9 months now.

Parameters alk 8.5-9, mixed reef, 1.025, 500 Ca, 1500Mg, pH 7.5-7.6, dosing 2 part and trace, did water change 3 days ago 20g, RedSea/Tropic Marin salts,...

Anyways, I just noticed today elegance bulged up, with tentacles shrinking. Any advice on treatment for this? Already red the threads on r2r, will probably try a fresh water bath, move to another tank.

PLEASE HELP WITH:
- identification
- possible treatment

I really like this coral, need to fix it.

TBH, doesn’t look bad. They will contract and expand throughout the day. Anything specifically that makes you think there’s a problem?

In my experience, ECS is contagious. It is caused by an infectious organism. If you have not exposed it to an infected elegance, it is not ECS. It appears that ECS will manifest in the first three months of captivity. I believe your elegance is going thru a cyclical inflation/deflation period. They are pretty sensitive to alkalinity changes.

The fact that it came back kind of calmed me down. I have never seen it like this, and about 2 hours ago I read about ECS... I guess I'm just like a med school student. One learns about a new disease, immediately experiences the symptoms.

Anyways, joke aside, this is the first time I have seen it like this, even while feeding. I put a new bag of Carbon in, to clean anything in the water, if anything's there.
