Help for a newbie

Hey guys!

New to the app and saltwater.

I bought an anenome today and after i accumulated it for 30 mins i placed him in his own little area on a rock where he immediately started to float to the top. So with a bit of persistence hes finally kept to one spot and stuck (for how long, lets see) is it normal for him to slightly shrivel up while hes ajusting?

Welcome to r2r!! Try turning the pumps off and getting him to stick down then turn back on.

It is normal for an anemone to be upset during the first couple days after a tank move. It'll take them time to acclimate to your water parameters and lighting. And don't be alarmed if he floats around a bit until he finds a spot he likes. During this time you may want to turn your pumps down or off until he sticks,and then turn them back on and observe. If you see him moving around again turn the pumps off or down very low so he doesn't get sucked into one of them and shredded.
