Holy xxxx I've never seen that before.

How the flesh looking now? If it's puffy or not looking bad rubber-band it to a plug..

i would not rubber band it to anything! they do this when stressed and feeling threatened to try and survive! set it on a rock somewhere in lower flow and medium light and then just leave it alone! make sure your alk, calcium, and mag stay in check and it can/should grow and new skeleton back!

I did not know they could do that. Mine are are aggressive to anything near them. And generally win. I had a freind whose just world not open as much but his water perimeters were all in check. So that only one thing left to check was the salinity and it turned out that is what it was. I like the color contrast of yours. I don't think I saw one with such a rich brown. I normally see that as a lighter brown or almost clear. But against that bright green tips great coloring.

did you do a large water change or have you had a alk swing or cal swing as this will cause polyp bail out

It was kind of alluded to already, but this event is known as: "polyp bailout" and will only happen when a coral is severely stressed. Something was/is off with your water parameters for it to happen.

I wanna know why it suddenly happened also
