Hi, i hope yall are having a fantastic day! For the past few weeks, it has come to my attention that my Green Finger Leather Toadstool Sinularia has stayed shrunken up, now with brown Algae on it. I have heard that they can release toxins of dying, so wanted to see your guy's thoughts. The rest of my coral are still thriving, this has been the only difficulty so far! Thanks!!!

Begginer here.
Mine shrinks sometimes. Both in size and polyps. Sometimes both. Sometimes regular size, no polyp extension. My tank is recent, around 4 months. Never really noticed such algae growth on it though.

Looks like it having trouble shedding, corals needs enough flow to clean them and remove detritus buildup. But you can use a turkey baster and gently blow that off, that should help it.
