Hey guys so yesterday I bought a bright green long tentacle and the LFS had him for a couple weeks. I wanted to go pick him up but his mouth was open. They just fed him but he spit out the little shrimp. He looked fine so I bought him. (I know I know lol) Acclimated him for 2 hours and put him in my tank. Within an hour he was all open up and looking fine but mouth open. Waited 24 hours thawed out a little clam and put it in his mouth. He closed his mouth but he has spit it out twice. This is my first anemone any idea on what might be wrong? Literally any and all help or advice of any kind is welcomed. Thanks so much for your time!
clam is kinda in his mouth in the pics.

Probably stressed from the move. They can take a few weeks to recover. If you have sufficient light, it should be fine.

How old is the tank? I wouldn't try to force feed ever. If they are hungry the tentacles will grab the food. Best thing you can do is keep your parameters in order and leave it alone.

If that is an LTA they prefer to be on the sand bed, it will find its way there on its own.

Don't touch it. If unhappy it will move on its own.

Okay thanks so much. I’m just nervous it’s stuck but he looks happy. Just open mouth.
