Help!! Heliofungia slowly dying?

Hello! I have a problem with my Heliofungia plate coral :(! I am pretty new to the hobby and bought this coral from my local merchant. He assured me it would be an easy coral to keep. Well, now i actually read that it is an pretty hard coral to keep. Also it had a little scratch since the beginning. It is like that for like 4 months now in my tank, but lately i recognized that it is getting very slowly bigger. Can i do anything in order to heal it?? I read about hydrogen peroxide dips - can they be useful in this situation?? Thanks for every answer!! The picture shows the coral.

Plate corals need nutrition.

If your test results are correct the coral is likely starving.

You need to increase Nitrates to at least 5 ppm and Phosphate to at least 0.05.

Easiest way is to feed the fish more.

If you're using API tests, you should at least upgrade your phosphate test to something more accurate.

How big of tank and what are you doing for nutrient control?

I was running a large scrubber all my parameters were 0 . Not good . I am at 10 nitrates and .1 phosphates and my coral is growing like crazy.

'easy' and 'hard' is relative. If you have experience, knowledge, and good water, then keeping most corals is pretty easy. If you dont have these 3 things, then its hard. In this case, you should have googled it before you bought it, not after you bought it.

Well, @LordofCinder I know i have made a bad mistake there and I also regret it. I just thought that my merchant would tell me the truth about this coral being an easy one, as he seems really competent to me. Maybe he did not know it himself or maybe he just wanted to sell the coral, I do not know. Therefore, I bought it, because I loved its beauty and thought I would get the important information later, as it is an "easy" coral. Thought wrong! I will not make this mistake again and get the information beforehand.

@Screwgunner my tank system is about 90 gallons big with the sump. I use the Nyos Quantum 120 as a Protein Skimmer and have filter cotton as mechanical filter before it. Also there is a reef tower with carbon and biopellets for bacteria cultures in the sump.

@gbroadbridge thanks for the tip! I will get maybe also more fish so I can increase the bioload! Only have 4 small so far :)

Hello - me, once again. Can I do anything in order to help the coral heal the scratch?? I think it is getting bigger and bigger :(! I am trying right now to get more nutrients in the tank and i also spot feed it every second day.
