Help identifying a sponge/coral?

Hey all,

I've been keeping an eye on this, but I'm not sure what it actually is. I took a look at some of the pests/id threads and google reverse search but both didn't really help me id it. It appears to be a sponge, but there are no siphons and it is growing much faster than any sponge I've encountered. Pictures attached, video in the second post

It's an LPS, not sure what kind.

Honestly after looking at it again I am not sure. I see the skeletal structure of what looks either a Duncan or an Euphyllia, in the 1st image.
It could very well be sponge growing over that old dead lps skeleton.
So I know that's not much help. Perhaps a top down image would clarify it.

That's very interesting, but it does look like some sponge or algae took over an old LPS colony skeleton.
I would just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't spread all over your rock work, unless you like the look.

I contacted the prior owner of the tank to see if they had any ideas, since I bought the tank after it had wiped while they were on vacation and he thought it may be frogspawn. Does that sound likely?

It may have very well once have been a Frogspawn, only the skeletal structure is left now.
