I assume this is some type of sponge? I can't seem to find anything on Google and my Facebook pages have been no help. Can anyone identify the stringy stuff and how could I get rid of some or all of it? It's starting the spread pretty good and I don't want it smothering coral. Was gonna maybe just cut the long tentacle things off? Thank yout

It does indeed look like a sponge growing in a somewhat cryptic area. I would be surprised if the sponge became invasive and spread.
If you're concerned simply manually remove as needed.

It's definitely gotten bigger/spread more since starting the tank almost 9 months ago. Just don't want it getting out of control per se
