Want to improve my pictures. I have the Orphek Extra Wide Coral Lens kit and loving it. Helped improve my general pictures.

The problem now is trying to get in for those truly close up shots. One issue I have is residue on the inside of the tank (look like water spots). Curious best way to handle those.

I would advise you to check the photography atlrticles stickied at the top of the photography forum. They cover many tips that could help.
Couple things I would focus on:
Take shots with camera or phone parallel to the glass to minimize distortions
Soon a bit more to isolate the dmsubject ur shooing and if it's the fish wait till its out in more light to get a better picture. Increasing lights intensitey before a shoot helps as well
The water spots you mention i believe is noise from in camera exposure correction of an underexposed shot or camera or mobile using higher iso to deal with a low light shots and camera not having good high iso performance.

What did u take these pics with ?

Can confirm the spots are not due to camera. Looked in close and saw them on the glass.
