Had this zoa and everything was fine and open and then it’s been closed for a couple weeks now and it looks as if it’s starting to open back. But is it damaged? Should I dip the whole frag to risk the other healthy ones?

everything else seems to be fine and all my other zoas on the same frag are open, and the one that’s closed even has a cpl new polyps growing fine. Any thoughts?

I would let it be and see if it opens up my zoas close and open all the time when adjusting to light flow water etc. even my hammer coral will close up mid day and retract back out in the evening time. Corals are weird.

What the other guy said.

I have some zoas that are always open
Some that close randomly

my Duncan closed for like a week straight
Hammers, frogs, octos just randomly close up for a bit in the middle of the day for a bit

Something might have touched it
It might be getting ready to poop

all random reasons

the stalk looks healthy so watch and see

Yeah I’d just keep an eye on them all and see how they are. Maybe does some A+B that iodine may wake em up

Thanks everyone. I’ll keep an eye on it. It’s the most “open” it’s been since it closed up so hopefully.
