So i have a 25 Lagoon pretty full with soft/LPS corals. And weekly wc doesn’t cut it. I started dosing Redsea Foundation ABC (Kh+CAL+MAG) in the very beginning . But was then given a free bottle of AFR from my LFS. So I’ve been using that. And i was also recently offered free BRS 2 part and was wondering what should i use ? GO back to redsea ? AFR or use the BRS 2 Part?

Any of those will work, so it’s really a personal choice. Do you have any thoughts on which one you like better or is easier for you to use? That might be the best choice for you. There are pros and cons to all.

AFR you don’t have to worry about precipitation, or individually dosing, but you may need to periodically add alk, calcium or magnesium to get the levels where you want them. 3 part dosing you control each individually and you will also get a pH boost from the alkalinity component that you don’t with AFR.

There’s really no wrong answer.

Imo, consistency is key. Pick one that meets your habits and stick with it until it no longer suits your tsnk and habits.

I was hearing Redsea was better because with their products you get better “Color” and “growth”. Idk how true that is. I wouldn’t mind a little ph boost tbh. Not sure where im at but pretty sure it’s low. Since I’ve been using AFR i seem to be low on calc and mag comapared to when i used to use Redsea.

I mean both times I’ve had for free lol so im not sure what’s better in the long run. Which would you recommend

Seachem Fusion 1 500 ml, Fusion 2 500 ml & 2X Measuring Cups Bundle (4 Items) https://a.co/d/ekQXOp8
All of them get the job done just different potency. This has worked the best for me so far. I tried BRS years ago it took a ton to move my #'s..

I get that. I ran brs 2 part in a 75 with heavy sps and clams. Worked great. I now have a 50 with some lps and no sofites. I use AFR to keep things simple. Only one thing to mix. Only one dosing pump to run or only one thing to dose, depending on your setup and desires. For tour system, I think afr is the easiest and what I would use personally until doing became too expensive due to the amount I have to dose or my systems shifts to sps dominant.

I'm using AFR powder right now, if the big 3 get out of whack somehow, which I anticipate will happen eventually, I'll change to something I can maintain all 3
