Oh boy, I would be so sad! I'm going to hover around and see what the answer is. You don't see any kind of little worm or cootie towards the base do you? I really don't know the fancy fish terms...

How long has the tank been set up? Hows your parameters, your SG, any fish that nip? This is never a one answer cut and dry thing. I've lost euphyllia colonies due to alk swings, brown jelly and fish irritating the coral.

If you do end up seeing brown jelly in the receded parts, DO NOT BLAST IT OFF. It can easily spread to other corals that way. You'll need to carefully remove the colony and treat it in a bucket.

I have some dips to suggest in that event, but I wanted to send a clear warning to prevent a tank-wide problem. Those ciliates are no joke.

It might be brown jelly so I took the whole hammer out. I’m inspecting the other corals to see if there’s any brown string

The dip that halted it for me was 5-10 minutes in Seachem Reef Dip (iodine) followed by 5-10 minutes in a Melafix bath. Dosed as directed. Maybe a little more than that for the Reef Dip. I add it until the water is almost tea-colored.

Add a small powerhead or pump to the baths to blow across the coral. Nothing strong enough to damage it, just enough to keep the baths moving and blow away excess coral slime or diseased tissue.

These are two separate dips. I would set up two buckets for this and just move the powerhead when you switch from one to the other. I posted a photo of this in my old thread here (see Sept. 18th post):

We would definitely want to see your chemistry numbers though. We'd like to rule out any stressors that could have caused this to come up, assuming it's brown jelly disease.

Need to know your water parameters, light setting, and flow. Photos of the rest of your tank and how your other corals are doing would be helpful too!

Thank you everyone my phosphate was a bit high and magnesium is low. Also when I checked there this goopy jelly like. It’s a mess.

I took it out and it’s been fine now. Thank you so much of your support.
