All looking for some opinions here. I have a chalice that has been receding from the edges. I believe the cause was high phosphate and a serious alk swing I suffered. I’m wondering if I should cut away the dead edges and the dying edge into healthy tissue and then dip it. Or should I just leave it as is and hope it recovers.

Chalices can regrow over the dead skeleton. If you had an Alk swing, that's likely the cause.

Chalices can recover fairly quickly if parameters are kept stable and decent. They're not super demanding usually either. Yours appears to be possibly a Raja Rampage or similar which is a fairly easy and fairly resilient variety.

My dosing pump failed and raised my alk to like 13 from 9. Unfortunately lost quite a few corals but I’m pretty certain that was the cause

Definitely a likely cause. Alkalinity spikes are a common killer of corals for us reef keepers unfortunately. Happens far too often it seems like.
