Help!!! My fire fish went missing!!

I went camping at Mohican state park and I checked on my fish before I left. My fire fish was eating and doing really well. I had friends/neighbors that were looking after my fish. The only other fish that I have in there is a lawnmower blenny. I know I have read about the fire fish being skittish to new people. I have not seen him since I got home. I have had my fire fish for about a month now and doing well so I have no clue what happened. Thanks. Oh. And I also checked my overflow and did not see him. I have a bio cube 29 with a lid

What does the lid look like? They're very good at getting through small openings. Any CUC in the tank? Once a fish passes CUC can eat it all up in minutes.

Triple check that overflow. Turn off the flow and use a flashlight while you get up high enough to look straight down. I "lost" a clownfish in mine for days looking in it several times. With a firefish I'd pull out the pump, heaters anything you have in there they can hide under.

It is a bio cube lid. No cracks

No. I do not have any cuc

@everyone I found him in the overflow tank. I pulled out everything and I found him ALIVE! He swam right to the back of the tank and probably not doing well because he was back there for so long. Should be fine though. Thank you to Asm481 for motivating me to go back there and look behind again. I used a flashlight and I saw him swimming below. Thanks again.

My red Firefish went missing back in February. same thing eating well and healthy then one day vanished. about a month ago or so, i was in the sump and saw him living down there LOL. Guess he rode the overflow down even though its covered in egg crate. I have 30lbs of live rock in my sump. He looked great, but i cant catch him to move him back up to the DT.
