Help! My tang has his mouth shut with glue

Found my tang with his mouth shut with some glue, best method of removing? Any concerns? He's desperately trying to eat but can't manage to budge open his mouth.

Hoping he continues to try to eat and manages to take it off.

Any help?

I did The same to my wife, but why you did that to the fish, I hope he is not ******** all the time .

Dang Jordy! Never, ever had one get it THAT bad. How long has it been on? For me they usually get it off in a few hours.

this has come up in the past here on R2R. hopefully, he will be able to free some of it and start eating again. when its hard/brittle, he may be able to know it off.

It will come off.
The slime coat will do it from under the glue.
It's the same if we get glue on our hands by continue having your hands in the water it will let go.
My Bandit had it 2 years ago poor thing but noticed after a few days it was gone and was so hungry he ate all my sponges of the rock.

I've had this happen to me before, poor guy didn't know what was going on. As diesel said the slime coat will shed it off.

Had a purple tang that had this happen to him. Took about three days for him to shed it, but he did and was fine.

+1 it'll come off. My yellow did it twice. The 2nd time didn't even seem like he was bothered - prolly cause he knew it would pass - you'd think he would've learned lol.
The first time was soooo much that it gave him a fu man chu beard.

While this is kinda funny and sad at the same time, I agree with the others. If it doesn't come off on it's own (which it should), he'll get it off. Give it time
