Anyone have experience with the Tunze macro algae reactors? Mine was running great for a month, I unplugged the pump to take out some chaeto, but when I plugged it back in the motor control dial just flashes blue? I tried soaking in vinegar, even though it’s only been running for a month, and made sure there wasn’t air trapped in it. What else should I try?!?

The flashing blue light is an indication that their is an obstruction in the pump.
Take it apart and make sure the bearing is fully seated in place.
If that does not work contact Roger in the Tunze thread and he will respond.

Yes, generally this indicates the pump is blocked, I would check that the impeller comes out easily and is not damaged or jammed, that the impeller cover is properly lined up, the hoses are not kinked and ideally I would start the reactor empty of water, much like a canister filter, they can struggle to run against the pressure when full but prime fairly easily when started empty.

Likely loose filaments of algae in the intake to the pump
