Hi all,

I got a lovely Galaxaura macroalgae (actually, 2!), but there is 100% a large eunice worm that is hanging around on it. There is a bit of rock, likely gulf rock, acting as a plug on each piece.

Can I dip this macro in ReVive or in fresh water to get the pests out?

I only have one hour and then have to leave my office. I DO NOT have a QT tank, nor the space/permission for one.

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

If you only have 1 hour then do what you must.

A picture ir two under white lighting would be very helpful in identifying what the pest is

Wish I could. Worm about 2mm thick. 5 antennae sticking out straight from the head, not curved like a Dorvillidae. Can't get a good enough view from the plastic to see if there are the mandibles. I'd bet the town on a Eunicid.

I just don't know if macro do well with dips like Revive or not...

Sounds like a eunicid. You can place in container of freshwater which should weaken the work and then pull macro and discard the worm

Glad I don't have a town to bet. Definitely not a Eunice. 7 antennae and they can curl inwards. I have no idea what this is--it isn't very long.
