I’m in the process of swapping out Orphek bars for Radions. Inside the canopy, there is a 2x2 wooden bar that run across the 8ft canopy in the middle. I would like to just “hang” the lights with just two loops on the Radions; don’t want to mount from the ceiling.

Buying the Ecotech mounting kit costs $65+tax/shipping each. Is there a more cost-effective solution? I need to mount 5 lights.

I’m looking at these instead:

Thoughts?

Those hanging kits will be good. Have you checked Amazon, they have some as well.
Hmm — guess this works as well. Thx

Any way to get an 8020 bar in the hood.
Easy to mount to 8020.
My ext 50 with 3.

Not really — the 2” wood bar is very stable and well supported so figure I’ll just loop around that beam instead of 8020 or 1010. My son can even 3D print them for me but that’s too much work — need 10 mounting brackets + aluminum bar!

Is there a way to mount the 8020 flat to my 2” wood bar? or I suppose they make brackets that will secure to the wood and then slide the 8020 into them?

See the white wooden beam below, straight down the middle. I prefer this than hanging with wires actually.

I think you could attatch 8020 to the 2" wood strip. Locate say 21/4" screws that go through the wood and attatch to a t-nut.
That would hold the bar easily in place and then attatch the lights like I did. This way the lights would slide out the end when needed.
