I added this now fat begging guy from a lfs about a month ago, but my question is about what type it is? It was sold as a narrow lined puffer (Arothron manilensis) however it's upper body and tail are more like a immaculatus (Arothron immaculatus).
The I have my very fat little one that was sold as a stars and stripes (Arothron hispidus) that looks more like a reticulated (Arothron reticularis). I haven't kept puffers in year's and finally have a set up big enough for them until we move next year. However I am curious if their color and patterns will change or if these two were misidentified? Regardless they are staying just wondering what I really have?

I've got four together currently, these two a little dog face and my son's green spotted. They're all beggars so end up being fed several times a day. Lol

I'm almost wandering if it's not a hybrid? I don't ever remember seeing a hybrid puffer before tho. It reminds me a bit of a stars n stripes type but it's missing the dots aswell.

I know, it's definitely got me stumped, I know it's supposed to be from Indonesia, but it's definitely missing half the stripes, and with the blotches that it can alter on it's upper half along with the black lined yellowtail it's not something I've been able to identify through books or Web searches over the past month.

I believe the greener one is a brackish water puffer I have seen some people put in salt water tanks.

Yes I have a technically brackish water green spotted puffer in one of the pictures of the really round puffer that was sold as a star's and stripes puffer that I am wondering if it's actually a reticulated puffer being it's really an olive green and yellow, and it's lacking the larger spotting pattern.
I am including a picture of one of my puffers I am trying to identify and my green spotted.
