Hi, New to the forum and reefing. I have a tailspot blenny that seems to be doing well except i've noticed him itching sometimes on the rocks. Then this morning i noticed a white spot next to his mouth. Also put a cleaner shrimp in yesterday as i suspected something was there in hopes that might help. Unfortunately, I turned what was supposed to be a QT tank into my temporary reef until i get a big tank. His name is Benny.

Hi, welcome to Reef2Reef!

In order to help Benny, we will need a photo and/or short video taken under white lights. Also, more background information (history of the fish) is needed. This post outlines some of that:

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate it. Tried getting some better photos but was unable. Checked my parameters and did a small water change. Actually found some threads with pictures that look exactly like what i saw. Seems its either viral or bacterial. Either way I will keep an eye on him. Thanks again. Jason
