Hello,
I have had my tank up and running for about 9 months, everything has been in the tank for 3. All my coral were doing very well for some time until recently, my GSP, my singularia and my devils finger/hand have begun to decline. The gsp looks to slowly be receding, the devils hand extends polyps but won’t puff up and the singularia, the trunk is shriveled and the top only partially explains. The lps, zoas, and Xenia seem to be okay. Parameters are:
Alk.10.4
Calcium:400
Mag:1490
Nitrate:15
Phosphate.03
Ph:8.15
running a Kessil a160we at 55% intensity for about 7hrs a day.it’s a nuvo 40 tank. Chemipure blue and a skimmer in the back.
Help.

Sorry, at work, but will help as much as I can. Are you using a RO/DI system, or getting RO/DI water from a LFS? Have you done any changes to the tank or added anything new to the tank that would effect the chemistry?

The tank looks extremely "clean" for a 9 month old tank. Your nutrient levels seem fine(not too low or high), but just looks like a very new tank that needs some maturing

Could that cause soft coral to shrivel and freak out? Or not grow?

It could if the tank bacteria balance isn’t in order yet. The tank does look very clean.

Have you had any algae in the tank?
