Hello!

The tang has long term head and lateral line erosion (HLLE). It is usually caused by carbon use at some point in the fish’s past. It may also have a component caused by general poor quality diet or water conditions - however those causes haven’t been proven.
I’m afraid this fish will likely not heal, although it won’t be fatal in the short term. Sometimes moving the fish to a new tank helps stop the issue from getting worse.

This is a very severe case of HLLE. I can tell you it came from an environment where water quality was of no concern and while i can say diet, his belly looks proportionate. This fish can be repaired (persay) but will not fully heal. What can you do?
Offer pristine water quality and monitor with reliable test kit. Ammonia badge or similar will not help with this issue
Offer foods high in protein-fat-aminos which acts as a gutload with suggestions below
-Spirulina brine shrimp
- LRS Herbivore diet
- mysis shrimp
- small plankton
- Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract
- Hikari Marine cuisine
- Formula 2 flake and frozen
- Hikari veggie marine

Add selcon vitamins to the foods 2-3X per week and on alternating days, garlic extract for stamina and immunity health

Thank you, are you talking about live food or frozen?
Do i mix all of those or alternate one day and the other?

Frozen and the listed would be a variety alternating each day
