I picked up a very nice aussie acan frag yesterday and recieved another that needs some tlc. It used to be 8-10 polyps and now it's down to 2 medium sized healthy polyps. At least I believe they're healthy. I'm not sure how it got damaged. Any tips for nursing this back to health? THe tank is a 14 gallon biocube with 70W mh and pc actinics. Flow is provided via a MJ900 and a Koralia Nano.

Your flow is good. Just leave it in the bottom-mid range of your tank. I recommend supplemental feedings for faster regrowth. Mysis, cyclops, anything meaty thatll fit in its mouth.

I've always found less flow is better for acans that are stressed out. Especially if the colony already has polyps that are bailing out from a stresful travel. Just my opinion and experience. :)

I would make sure its up on the rocks in med/low flow. I get better growth from the ones on the rocks with lower flow.
