Help selecting small group of fish

Still thinking about this - if I go with the Green Chromis, would 5 be too many for my tank? I was worried that 3 could easily become 2 then 1. Maybe less chance with 5 but I'm not sure. Thanks.

5 should be fine. Frequent feedings and high flow seem to help prevent them from in-fighting too badly.

Not as colorful as the chromis, but still unique in their own way and they just love to hang out and not bother anything (and are super easy to care for). Go with a Pajama Cardinal as they are designed for schooling and unlike chromis don't establish pecking order by nipping. I only have one in my 90 but it is a great fish and plenty of folks have kept them in small groups with no issues:

You could get a pair of fire fish and or a pair of Bengai cardinals.
