Serious question. My skimmer is now turned off until I can get a answer. I have a reef octopus 110 int. Today I opened my cabinet to find water everywhere the top cup bubbling over the mist covered everything. But it's not skimmate it water.
I added 2 new things into my tank Strontium and molybdenum, and Iodine. What could have caused this issue. I can't stand over my take all day. Please help

If you have that much water coming in, you have the skimmer running to wet. You need to restrict the air or let it in more (never remember which way is which). Could mean raising the skimmer off the tank bottom too. Sometimes it can take a bit to dial in correctly and anything you do to the system can effect the skimmer. If you dose, you have to watch to see reaction so you know next time.

Hope that helps a little. It can be frustrating.

Not unless the products you used have other ingredients as well.
