Looks like a ring of eggs to be honest. Maybe a snail or a nudibranch species?

Ah, that's what I was thinking... that it was a macroshot. It's an egg capsule, IMO, and you got a super tight shot of one.

If you take the picture from further back, we might be able to tell what it's from or if it's something different.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
