My leather has been stretching and killing other corals as it flows, so I was attempting to move it to a better place. Without much effort, I accidentally tore the foot/stalk in half! Ugh!!

I know damage to the cap is usually insignificant, but can it survive this? Or should I remove it before it blows up the entire tank?

So mad right now!! Ugh...

That happened to mine and a second one grew from the price of foot that was left on the rock.
But I’m no expert, just sharing my experience.

Did the top part survive as well?
Yeah, I ended up with two. It was a pink cabbage leather that was stuck to a rock. I dropped the rock while scaping And it was torn off.

the top piece was hard to get to re-attach. But it finally did and a new one grew from the old foot.
