HELP tube worm !!!

Hello everyone so i just bought a tube worm and the feather part came out fell out. Something happen; so what does this mean in terms of the tube worm staying alive. Can the worm make a new feather or what?? Help

I thought mine die and let him there in the rock, after two month he come out. So I say yes too.

ok, well that sucks i just got it and this happens. I think it was those dang snail were on the feather part?? I just fed the tank some mysis shrimp and the pulsing xenia took the food but not my candy coral?

Sometimes when they are put in a new environment they do that. I have snails and crabs and they climb it to eat algae and other food.

Has anyone ever seen a tube worm drop its feather and them at night go get it? Last night the feather was just laying on the sand bed and now its in its tube.weird.
