I’ve been looking for something bigger to grow out zoas and other encrusting corals on but bigger frag Plug’s seem to be expensive.. I got some 3”x3” ceramic tiles but they have a white glaze over the top of one side, do you think it would be safe for my reef? Anyone have experience? What if I let them sit in plain tap water, and measured the TDS over the course of a couple days, if it rose I can assume it’s leeching stuff but if the TDS doesn’t rise are they safe to use?

Use travertine tiles, a form of CaCO3. You can find them at most home improvement stores in a variety of sizes to fit your needs.

Not sure about your glazed tiles, but as mborn wrote above, travertine tiles are safe. I've used them before as a bottom in QT.
They can be cut down to other sizes as you require.
