Hello Reefers,

My tank is about a year and a half old. Most my corals are zoas with a couple frogspawn, monti’s, and the above named corals.

All are doing well with the exception of the Jack O Lantern, Dragon Soul, n Watermelon Favia. These corals are basically just living, but show no signs of growth.

What do you all recommend? Thanks in advance for your advice!!

Here are some pictures to see placement.

All other corals are growing pretty well.

what kind of flow is your jack o lantern in? My jack o lantern and all my other leptos are pretty fast growers in low flow and 90 to 10o par.

In the second picture from the bottom you can see where the power head is. This is also a reef tank without a sump so the filter is just to the top right with a stream of incoming filtered water.

Maybe move it to an area with less flow?

IMO they look healthy. I would leave them be as they are just slowly growing. If they did not look healthy then I'd recommend a new spot. Some corals just grow fast in other tanks.

I appreciate the feedback DSC. Being that I have a few I will likely reposition 1 or 2 and leave the others. My Alk was around 7dKH and I’m raising it back to 9. I had an issue with my doser with a leaking pump which has been resolved. The guy at the LFS says it may be due to the alk fluctuations.

I’ll keep you all updated.
