I have a13.5 evo I want to try f aiptasia but if I handle 1 at a time will it hurt my corals or fish I seen other say lemon juice and boiling water. I tried putty and a nutibranch with no luck. I really want to get it under control with hurting anything. I’m new to this been watching YouTube but not really what I should do?

Only thing that ever worked for me was peppermint shrimp. Need to make absolutely sure you get the correct peppermint shrimp.

I use peroxide or hot vinegar and inject them with a needle. It’s tedious and it works. In 75G display, as Aptasia biomass floated off, the Sailfin Tang eat it.

Inject with a syringe.

Think about it:

Vinegar is used in organic carbon dosing in reef tanks.

H202 is composed of two molecules of oxygen which makes it an oxidizer. When you apply it to unprotected organics, it dissolves it in the same manner as it consumes unprotected organic flesh when you pour it on a cut.

The peppermint shrimp will it coral too right ?
I’ve never had them go after any coral. I am in the camp that this only happens if they are starving and desperate for food. Some will likely disagree with me, but that’s my 2 cents.

What does this mean? Help us help you.

Peppermint Shrimp are opportunistic scavengers and they will rob anemones & coral of food as well as eat uneaten food. Some feel that wild caught are best. Some hobbyists raise them.
