Good morning all. Got a sad text from my wife this morning. Our B/W Clown has a 3mm (guess) cut on its side. Unfortunately I'm out of town on business. Our tank is 60x30x24 with a couple of island for a scape. We currently have the clown, a Mag. Foxface, a Blue Throat Trigger and a Yellow Tang. I think the tang is the culprit. I've advised her to try and catch the clown and put him in our fuge. Also in the mean time, set up a Q. Tank. Any advice on what to do, both with the clown and Tang?

It is not uncommon for a fish to get a cut/scrape now and again. Assuming it is not being harassed non stop, I would say to just keep the clown where it is and monitor. If it is being harassed, then you will need to intervene.

I agree with Marshal ^above^ in leaving it be. As long as water quality is fair or better it will heal up quickly enough. My Tangs have done this several times to each other while establishing the 'Pecking Order' both the Blochii and Powder Blue recovered more than once from 3/8" -> 1/2" bleeding gashes in sides a year or so ago when Blochii surpassed the PB in size/dominance.

Cheers, Todd
