I've got a BTA that has reproduced a couple of times but this last time the "mom" is shriveled up while the "baby" seems to be doing just fine. I'm wondering if this is indicating that it's dying off or if there's something that I can do to help it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (Sorry for the poor quality pics)

Need a ton more information about this tank before we can help. Tank Paramaters, how long have you had the nems, how old is the tank....etc
I've had the tank for about 3 years. I bought the first BTA about a year and a half or two years ago. they've split a number of times and all of the others have done well.

Its gotten worse over the last 2 or 3 days. The split was on Oct. 9th.

I moved the power head so that it would get more direct flow for a little while.

3 meq/L. The DKH is 8.3.
Sorry about the confusion
No reason to be sorry just made me go hey there’s the issue lol well your parameters look good maybe a tad high for my likings on MG it that’s just my opinion. Hopefully @Amoo or one of the other nem guys is free and can give his thoughts now that there’s more info here.

I’ve heard that works good but I wouldn’t have a clue on how much and without testing your present level I would be cautious.

Good point. Would probably try to isolate it first in a "hospital tank".
