Hello, I have a 30 gallon tanks that's been up and running for about 2 years. I have a decent sized Toadstool leather in there that I've noticed my clowns trying to sleep in it and get it to host them. My question, should I get them a BTA since they are doing this? Or just let them be with my Toadstool? I have another tank with a BTA that my other clowns sleep in and it's awesome to see, so I'm tempted to try one in this tank, but I don't have much room in this tank. Thank you

I had a bta for well over a year and never once did my clowns show interest in it. They were more interested in the thermometer in my tank

I can tell you, typical clowns love toadstools. Mine was with an anemone for 2 years, didn't start hosting it till I removed the toadstool. I've had a bunch of clowns , friends with clowns etc. They all love the toadstool, especially if it's large and they can get lost in it. Just leave the toadstool in my opinion

Yeah I second the toadstool leather as a stand in unless you want a BTA focused tank. Toadstools don’t move, they don’t multiply, they can’t float off and get chewed up in a powerhead. I have a lot of BTAs in my 100g after ordering one, and they’re definitely taking up more real estate than I planned for.
