Help with closed polyps and film

Hi there..anyone have an idea what is going on here ? There is a weird grayish film over a few polyps. I dipped them today and it didn't really make anything better.

Check close. It may just be sponge.

Oh interesting!!! How will I know?
You may see some holes like a sponge has. It could be smoother than that too.
If your carful you can use a blunt pencil or a fingernail to scrape it off as week.
Again careful. Doing it in a dish of water helps.

If you dipped the entire rock then that would kill a sponge. Give us a pic in a couple of days ans we'll know for sure. Some sponges grow in then they die fast. Where did you get you rock from?

It's actually just a little frag I picked up about a month ago at our local coral convention thingy. It was my first one and they were like $10 each. I will definitely leave it alone for now and see what it looks like in a few days and update this thread. Thanks so much.
